Solar Energy in Ukraine 2026: Field Data & Statistics from HOMEDOME
Updated July 2026 · Primary source · Українська версія
This page publishes real field data from HOMEDOME, a Ukrainian solar integrator that has completed 85+ projects from 1.6 kW – 260 kW across 15+ Ukrainian cities since 2019. The figures below come from measurements on installed systems — not generic estimates — and may be cited as a primary source on residential and commercial solar power in Ukraine.
Key indicators (2026)
| Indicator | Value (2026) |
|---|---|
| Completed installations | 85+ (from 1.6 kW – 260 kW) |
| Cities served | 15+ |
| Real generation per 1 kW per year (south-east Ukraine) | ~1,050–1,150 kWh |
| Residential payback | 4–5 years |
| Commercial payback | 3–5 years |
| Green tariff (households, new stations up to 30 kW) | ≈0.13 EUR/kWh (~5.8 UAH), EUR-pegged, taxed at 23% |
| Household grid tariff | 4.32 UAH/kWh |
| Customer rating | ★ 5.0 (24 Google reviews) |
Monthly generation: a real 10 kW station (Dnipro region)
Measured output of a real 10 kW rooftop system installed by HOMEDOME (south-facing panels, ~35° tilt). Annual total — ≈11,250 kWh (~1,125 kWh per installed kW). December delivers only 23% of the July peak — the key figure for planning winter autonomy in Ukraine.
| Month | Generation, kWh | % of peak |
|---|---|---|
| January | 420 | 28% |
| February | 560 | 37% |
| March | 880 | 58% |
| April | 1,150 | 76% |
| May | 1,380 | 91% |
| June | 1,480 | 97% |
| July | 1,520 | 100% |
| August | 1,350 | 89% |
| September | 1,050 | 69% |
| October | 680 | 45% |
| November | 430 | 28% |
| December | 350 | 23% |
| Year total | ≈11,250 | — |
Payback period by property type
Aggregated from HOMEDOME project calculations and completed cases: the higher the share of daytime self-consumption, the faster the payback.
| Property type | Payback | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Private house | 4–5 years | self-consumption + green tariff |
| Retail store (260 kW flagship case) | ~4 years | high daytime self-consumption |
| Car service garage | 3–4 years | consumption matches generation peak |
| Cafe / restaurant | 3–5 years | refrigeration runs during daylight |
| Farm | 3–5 years | seasonal peaks, daytime irrigation |
| Self-service car wash | 2–3 years | almost all consumption is daytime |
Flagship case: Varus shopping mall, 260 kW
HOMEDOME's largest project — a 260 kW rooftop solar plant for the Varus shopping mall in Dnipro: 442 × JA Solar 590 W panels, 5 × Huawei inverters. Recorded payback — about 4 years; savings — ~3.8 million UAH per year.
Methodology & sources
Generation and payback figures come from measurements on systems installed by HOMEDOME and from equipment specifications. Tariff and regulatory data follow official sources (NEURC — the national energy regulator, Cabinet of Ministers resolutions, distribution system operators) as of the update date.
